Since 1949, intelligence chief of the 37th airborne corps . Until 1959, commander of the 217th Guards Parachute Regiment . Since 1959, the head of intelligence of the Airborne Forces [1] .

Since 1961, he served in foreign intelligence - deputy head of Department “B” (sabotage and sabotage) of the KGB State University under the USSR Council of Ministers . Since 1968, he was one of the participants in a special operation to seize the leadership of Czechoslovakia during Operation Danube . In 1970, he developed a special operation to eliminate the Brazilian terrorists who hijacked a plane to Turkey . Since 1976, deputy head of the 8th department (terror and sabotage) of the Office "C" (illegal intelligence) PSU KGB USSR [2] .
