Biography
Born in Kiev in a wealthy Jewish family [5] . His sister is the famous pianist, singer and artist Bella Shapoval-Moisesco [6] [7] .
In 1924, he moved with his family to Germany , and then to Paris. He studied at the medical faculty of the University of Sorbonne and at the same time attended painting classes at Académie de la Grand Chaumière. In 1942 he fled to Marseille . In 1943 he moved to Toulouse, where he met Jeanne Dépujol, who in 1946 became his wife.
He returned to Paris in 1947 and lived there to death.
In 1951, committed suicide for unknown reasons.
