Xelent (Kcell) (formerly SDN.SPB) is a large data center in the North-West region of Russia. It provides DC outsourcing services: from equipment rental and transportation of IT systems to solutions for the development of cloud infrastructure. The data center is designed to meet the requirements of Tier III (the level of reliability of equipment and infrastructure), including redundancy of all components of the engineering infrastructure and repair and maintenance work without interruption of service. The data center is built on its own site and fully complies with TIA-942 standards (requirements for location, reliability of the data center infrastructure, its external environment). Xelent services are used by more than 350 customers.

Creation History
February 2014 - launch of the data center Stack Data Network (SDN.SPB) in commercial operation.
July 2015 - SDN.SPB data center passed certification on PCI DSS [3] .
September 2016 - the SDN.SPB data center received a license from the FSTEC for the installation, installation, testing, repair of information security tools and an FSB license for the design, supply of encryption systems, operation and maintenance of information and telecommunication systems with cryptographic data protection, leasing of communication channels and systems with encryption protection [4] .
March 2017 - Rebranding: the data center SDN.SPB was renamed Xelent [5] .
January 2018 - Xelent lowered the average annual Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) to 1.29. This is the best indicator not only in the St. Petersburg market of data centers, but throughout Russia [6] .
February 2018 - 2017 summed up: Xelent revenue grew 80% over the year. According to the results of the year, Xelent took 25% of the St. Petersburg market for equipment placement services in the data center [7] .
February 2018 - Xelent became a strategic partner of Mail.Ru Cloud Solutions [8] .
March 2018 - launch of the Xelent.Cloud cloud platform, which prepares a virtual server managed through its own platform interface.
July 2018 - Xelent introduced the Xelent MultiCloud cloud service aggregator service, in which the company develops and implements complex IT infrastructure projects using the services of leading and global providers based on 4 hypervisors [9] .
December 2018 - Xelent began to provide a new service for the rental of equipment and dedicated servers at the customer’s site [10] .
February 2019 - the data center is certified by the Uptime Institute according to the Tier III standard [11] .
