Biography
Julia Bakastova was born on June 26, 1996. Lives and trains in Kiev .
For the first time she entered the main team of the Ukrainian national team in the season 2016/2017, after she became the owner of the Cup of Ukraine in fencing in sabers [1] . She performed at the European Championships in Tbilisi and at the World Championships in Leipzig , where she took 41 and 29 places among saber fencers, respectively. According to the results of the season, she is located on the 60th line in the ranking of the International Fencing Federation .
She achieved her first serious success at the adult international level in 2018, when she went to the European Championship in Novi Sad and brought out the silver dignity prize won in the team competition of saber fencers together with Olga Harlan , Alina Komashchuk and Elena Voronina - in the quarterfinals and semifinals of the Ukrainian Hungary and Italy, while in the decisive final confrontation with a score of 30:45 they lost to the Russian team. At the same time, in the individual standings, Bakastova reached the 1/16 final stage, losing 7:15 to Spanish representative Araceli Navarro [2] . Later she took 59th place in the world championship in Wuxi , noted her performance at the stages of the World Cup in Baltimore, Athens, Tunisia, Orleans.
