Geography
The village is located in the eastern part of the Belgorod region, at the source of Valuy ( Oskol tributary), 11 km in a straight line south of the regional center, the city of Biryucha .
History
Name Origin
The foundation of the village called Biryuch is associated with the construction of the Penzo-Kharkov-Lozovsky railway, which was commissioned on December 17, 1895 . Along with the delivery of the road, the Biryuch railway station was opened, named after the county town Biryuch [2] .
Historical Review
Up to the railway station Biryuch in a southeastern direction on a fertile land was created state farm TMEC. Farm yards, barracks for workers were built.
In 1937, the state farm was disbanded. In July of the same year, 94 families from the village of Vesyoloy settled on state farm lands for recruitment, 40 families of this number settled near Biryuch station. Thus, two collective farms were organized - The New Way and The Way of Stalin. The chairman of the collective farm “New Way” is elected P.V. Kovalev, then A.D. Kovalev. For the reception, placement and storage of grain, the Zagotzerno Society was organized. In 1930 it had 4 wooden warehouses, so the Biryuchensky grain receiving enterprise was born.
At the fronts of World War II , 48 mobilized residents of the village died. From the first days of the war, the railway station in the village was subjected to massive bombardments, as trains with ammunition and mobilized soldiers to the front passed through it. During the retreat of the Soviet troops, the station building was blown up, and the Zagotzerno burned down.
Constant bombing forced residents to leave the station and go for temporary residence in the village of Mirny . After the occupation, the collective farm built houses for fire victims, so a street appeared in the southeastern part of the village.
After the war, life began to improve gradually, the village was getting better: houses, apartments for workers, employees, and teachers were being built. Kolomytsevo village general public was transferred to the village of Biryuch station. An office, a shop, a dining room, warehouses for storing goods were built. When the general farm organized a subsidiary farm.
In 1964, a village club was built with funds from the Biryuchensky grain receiving enterprise.
In the 1960s , a new railway station building was built, the Biryuchenskoye post office.
In 1976, a feldsher-midwife station was opened in the village [2] .

Interesting Facts
The first settlers were mainly immigrants from the village of Valui : U.F. Kursakova, T.P. Kursakov, Semenikhins, Grachevs, Gubanovs, Seleznevs, Siversky [2] .
