Lasioglossum weemsi (lat.) - a species of single bees of the genus Lasioglossum from the family Halictidae . Named after the entomologist HV Weems, Jr., who collected the type specimens .

Description
Small bees about 5 mm long. Females from 4.24 to 4.90 mm. The head and chest are green with a bluish metallic sheen; apical half of clypeus black-brown. Tegulae and legs reddish brown. The length of the anterior wing of females is 3.21–3.81 mm. In the front wing there are 3 submarginal cells. Single bees nest in the soil. The species was first described in 1960 by the American entomologist Theodore B. Mitchell under the original name Dialictus weemsi [2] , and its valid status was confirmed during a 2010 audit by Canadian entomologist Jason Gibbs ( York University , Department of Biology, Toronto , Canada ) and is related to the subgenus Dialictus . Named after a scientist. Feed plants are unknown [1] .
