Adolphe Francois Wauters ( French Adolphe-François Netherlands. Wouters ; May 28, 1849 , Brussels - April 16, 1924 , Ixelles ) - Belgian pianist, organist and composer.

The son of a music teacher. Impressed by the play of Alfons Maya, he decided to devote himself to playing the organ. He graduated from the Brussels Conservatory , a student of Maya, Francois Joseph Feti (composition), Charles Bosle (harmony), Auguste Dupont (ensemble). In 1868-1885 titular organist of the Brussels church of Notre-Dame-du-Finister, at the same time since 1870 the bandmaster of the Church of St. Nicholas . Since 1871, an assistant in the piano class of Dupont at the Brussels Conservatory, since 1875 a teacher.
Church music, including Mass of St. Cecilia (1878) and Te Deum for choir and orchestra, performed at St. Michael's Cathedral on July 21, 1880 in honor of the 50th anniversary of the independence of Belgium, occupies an important place in Wauters' composer heritage. Among Wauters' numerous chamber compositions, Adagio et scherzo Op was popular. 77 for four flutes [2]
