Story
Returning from a long hike centurion Glaucus ( Steve Reeves ) learns that his father was killed by unknown persons. Overcome with a thirst for revenge, he begins his quest.
In Pompeii, there are numerous terrible and mysterious murders in which the Roman authorities accuse the first Christians. However, the trail of blood leads to the palace of the rulers of the city ... Furious elements falls on Pompeii and its inhabitants. Under a hail of stones and debris of buildings a beautiful city perishes, and with it its cunning ruler.
Interesting Facts
- Mario Bonnar nominally is the director of the film. Sergio Leone worked as an assistant director and led the management of the picture when Bonnard fell seriously ill during the filming.
- For Steve Reeves, this film has become tragic. He suffered a shoulder injury, which put an end to both the career of a bodybuilder, and subsequently on his film career.
