Karasulak

Karasulak ( Ukrainian: Karasulak ; obsolete. Karapurt [1] ) is a river that flows into Lake Yalpug , located on the territory of the Bolgradsky districts ( Odessa region , Ukraine ). The upper reaches are called Kainaki .

Geography

Length - 30 or 37.5 [2] km. The pool area is 221 km². The channel of the river (elevation marks) in the middle course (south of the village of Karakurt) is located at an altitude of 18.6 m above sea level. The channel in the upper reaches and the mouth part dries up; for almost the entire length - it is straightened into a canal (canalized), 5 wide and 1.5-2 m deep. Several ponds have been created on the river. The estuary part of the river valley is occupied by floodplains.

It originates from a stream flowing along the Kaynaki beam, which is southwest of the village of Ogorodnoye (City) . The river flows south, east, south. It flows into the lake Yalpug near the village of Krinichnoe .

According to sulfate pollution, rivers in 2006-2014 belong to the 7th quality category (very dirty). According to most irrigation assessment methods, river water is unsuitable for irrigation and is required before using saturated calcium salts, eliminating soda and diluting with fresh water. General assessment of the river’s water, for all indicators (function of the R measure) in the period 2006-2014, 5th category.
