The main works on the study of the laws of the action of enzymes in the metabolism, biochemistry of drought tolerance of plants, technical biochemistry, space biology.

Biography

He graduated from the Moscow Agricultural Academy. K.A. Timiryazev ( 1932 ).

Since 1935 he worked at the Institute of Biochemistry. A. N. Bach, USSR Academy of Sciences (at the same time - professor of Moscow State University ).

In 1959 - 1963 academician-secretary of the Department of Biological Sciences of the USSR Academy of Sciences. Since 1960 - Member of the Presidium of the USSR Academy of Sciences . Since 1963, chief scientific secretary of the Presidium of the USSR Academy of Sciences.

Since 1965 - Vice-President of the International Astronautical Academy, member of the Pugwash movement of scientists .

Father of the Russian physicist, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexei Sisakyan .
