Publication History

The Bloodshot was created in 1992 by Kevin Wangock, Don Perlin and Bob Leighton [1] with the name suggested by David Chlistek [2] during the wave of popularity for Valiant Universe and became a direct hit for readers. Bloodshot made his debut on the pages of comics in November 1992 [3] . As one of Valiant's most popular characters, Bloodshot continued his success by selling comic books until Valiant was bought for $ 65 million by Acclaim Entertainment . Comics have been translated into several languages, including French , German , Italian , Spanish , Norwegian , Filipino and Chinese , Turkish and other languages of the whole world. In 1996, Bloodshot and most of the other characters in the Valiant universe were restarted under the banner of Acclaim Comics . Re-launching meant that the title was moving in a new direction that was easier to adapt to video games. Valiant Entertainment is the current owner of the Valiant Character Catalog.

A new volume of the Bloodshot was released in July 2012, written by Dwayne Suirszinski , after the restart of Valiant Comics. Another new volume was released on September 9, 2015 under the title “Bloodshot: Revival”.

Criticism

Blobshot comics have become one of Valiant's best-selling comics, with sales in all languages approaching seven million copies of the comics. Shortly before the debut of the Bloodshot series, the character made two opening appearances in popular comics: " Paradise " and " Eternal Warrior ." Based on these appearances, a need arose for the character to return and he returned in his solo comic strip Bloodshot # 1 in February 1993. The solo album of Bloodshot was a highly anticipated comic book, which became the best-selling and sold about a million copies. [4] The original series was written by Kevin Wangock and painted by Don Perlin. The first cover of the Chromium comic strip appeared in the premiere [5] .

Released in July 2012, Bloodshot # 1 was awarded the Best Comic by Diamond Comic Distributors (a leading distributor of the American comics industry) and Best Innovation for its cover. "Bloodshot" was named one of the top ten best comic books of 2012 according to Nerdage [6] .
