JSC "Universal Plant" (until 1989 - Novokuznetsk plant "Santekhlit") is a Russian manufacturer of sanitary products, construction products and mining equipment. The production is located in the Kuznetsk region in the city of Novokuznetsk , Kemerovo region . Full name - Joint-Stock Company Plant Universal.

History
Construction of the plant began in 1955. The plant under construction was called the “Stalin Plant of Household Items and Sewer Pipes”, from July 1, 1961 it was renamed to the Novokuznetsk Plant Santekhlit [1] . The construction was led by Sergey Ivanovich Melnikov, and the chief engineer of the project, Friedrich Lvovich Blyumin. On December 31, 1961, the State Commission signed an act on the commissioning of the first stage of the plant - a workshop for the production of cast-iron bathtubs with a capacity of up to 280,000 units per year [2] [3] [4] .
The plant was commissioned with administrative subordination to the Main Department of Heavy and Electrical Engineering "Tyazhelektromash" of the Kuzbass Sovnarkhoz. According to the design assignment developed by the Giprosantehprom Leningrad Institute, taking into account further expansion and reconstruction, the plant was created for the production of sanitary equipment [5] [1] [6] . Almost two months from the date of signing the act, commissioning work continued in the foundry and enamel shops. At the end of February 1962, the technological process for casting iron castings and enameling was completely debugged. The birthday of the enterprise is considered February 26, 1962 - the day when the first batch of cast-iron enameled bathtubs was sent to consumers [7] [8] [9] .
In March 1963, the production of cast iron sewer pipes and fittings for them by centrifugal casting was launched.
In March 1970, the stamping and enameling plant of the plant began to produce steel heating radiators [10] .
From December 21, 1989 to July 13, 1993 the plant was called the rental enterprise Universal (А / п "Universal"), from July 14, 1993 to January 1, 1997 - the joint-stock company of the open type "Universal" (OJSC "Universal" ) [1] , until 2015 - OJSC "Universal Plant" [11] [12] .
In 2003, the plant management invested in the Novosibirsk Plant of Ceramic Products and in early 2004 established the Universal Plant of Ceramic Products on its basis [13] .
In 2004, the enterprise management decided to modernize outdated foundry equipment. In less than a year, the plant launched the production of cast-iron enameled baths by vacuum-film molding [14] [15] with a productivity of 45 molds per hour.
In February 2012, the plant's staff celebrated its 50th anniversary [16] [17] .
In May 2016, JSC “Universal Plant” became a member of the Association of manufacturers of heating radiators APRO [18] .
Performance Indicators
Revenue from sales in 2017 amounted to 1,670,497 thousand rubles. (in 2016 - 1,788,826 thousand rubles), net profit - 42 thousand rubles. in 2017 (in 2016 - 46 781 thousand rubles) [19] [20] .
