Biography
Damyran Aylanmaa Bailakovna was born on July 28, 1975 in the village of Bai-Tal, Bai-Taiginsky District, Tuva Autonomous Soviet Socialist Republic . [1] After leaving school in 1992 she entered the department of national instruments of the Kyzyl College of Arts named after A. B. Chyrgal-ool. Studied with A.A. Oyun in the class of igil. Studying the modernized igil, she simultaneously mastered the igil, khomus, and byzanache from the teacher S. M. Byurbe [1] . She played in the first part of the student folk ensemble "Changy-Haya". She was fortunate enough to study in the khoomei class with Hunashtaar-ool Oorzhak . After graduating from college, in 1996 - 1997 she worked at the Kyzyl Pedagogical College. [1] In 1998, together with Choduraa Tumat, they created the Tuva Kyzy female folklore ensemble (diploma winner of the Ustuu-Khuree International Festival (2002) and the Berzemlek-Commonwealth International Festival (2003), laureate of the II degree of the International Ethnic Music Festival " Siberian World ”in the Krasnoyarsk Territory , two-time laureate of the Vargan-Khomus International Competition (2005 and 2013), second-degree laureate of the VI International Symposium“ Khomei - a phenomenon of the culture of the peoples of Central Asia ”in Kyzyl ( 2013)) [2] . The ensemble toured to Belgium , Germany , Denmark , Spain , China , the Netherlands , Norway , Poland , Portugal , the Republic of Korea , the USA , Finland , France , Switzerland , Sweden , and Japan. Since 2003 she has been working as an artist of the Tuva National Orchestra. She plays well on different types of khomuses, on igil, byzaanchi, doshpulur. In 2012, she released her solo album "Bai-la-Taigam", which recorded her solo compositions of traditional vocal and instrumental music, as well as modern arrangements of October Saai to her songs [1] . She is the mother of two sons and a daughter.
