American Numismatic Association ( Eng. The American Numismatic Association , (ANA)) - an association of coin collectors , operates in the city of Colorado Springs , USA . Founded by Dr. George F. Guise (George F. Heath) in Chicago . The goal of the ANA is to promote numismatics as a science and activity in the field of education, as well as to spread interest in numismatics as a hobby.

The ANA National Headquarters and Museum is located in Colorado Springs , Colorado . Members of the ANA are more than 25 thousand people, membership in the organization can be purchased for different terms (one, three, five years or for life) for a fee of $ 800- $ 1,200 US dollars, depending on whether the applicant wants to receive the association’s journal in version or in print.
In 1912, the ANA received a charter from the US Congress for its activities in the field of numismatics.
The official magazine of the association is the month “Numismatist”, the editor-in-chief of which is Barbara Gregory. Many articles in the journal are written by members of the association.
Money Museum
Colorado also houses the ANA Money Museum, which houses over 250,000 artifacts representing the history of numismatics from the invention of first money to modern times. There is also a collection of gold coins, test coins and US banknotes, collected by Harry Bass [1] . The museum hosts exhibitions on the history of money, art, archeology, banking, economics and coin collecting.
