The village church in Sölmnnitz ( German Dorfkirche Söllmnitz ) is a Protestant village church in the Sölmnnitz ( German Söllmnitz ) district of Gera , the building of which was originally built in the XV-XVI centuries. In the period from the XVII to the XIX century, the church underwent numerous changes in the design of the building and its interior .

History and Description
The Protestant Evangelical Church in the village of Selmnitz (today - the district of the city of Hera , Thuringia ) refers to the Evangelical Church of Germany (EKD) [1] . The hall building of the temple - with one longitudinal nave and a polygonal enclosed choir , drawn to the south - was built in the XV-XVI centuries. Presumably, the building was erected at the turn of the century. Its altar part has windows without stained-glass windows , lancet arches and buttresses ; on the roof above the nave there is a small signature , added later - the signature ends with a pointed spire. Inside the church there are tripartite galleries, emporia and stasidia ; in addition, a single organ is also represented in the building [2] . From the 17th to the 19th centuries, the parish introduced numerous changes to the design of the building and its interior. In 2001, the church in Zelmnitsa needed urgent repair of the roof supports, as they were in disrepair; the general condition of the building, which is an urban architectural monument , also evoked descriptions from both the church administration and city architects.
