Vladimir Martinec ( czech Vladimír Martinec , December 22, 1949 , Lomnice nad Popelkou, Czechoslovakia ) is a Czechoslovak hockey player and hockey coach. Three-time world champion, silver medalist of the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck and bronze medalist of the 1972 Winter Olympics in Sapporo .

Content
Biography
Vladimir Martinez began his hockey career at the Tesla Pardubice club, in which he played 13 seasons. Only in the 1978/79 season did he play for the Dukla Jihlava team. In 1981 he moved to the German "Kaufbeuren", where he played until 1985.
From 1969 to 1981, he played for the Czechoslovak national team . In its composition became the three-time world champion, silver and bronze medalist of the Olympic Games . In addition, he won 5 silver and 3 bronze medals at world championships . 4 times recognized as the best hockey player of Czechoslovakia.
In the national team and in "Pardubice" he played in one of the three attacks with Jiri Novak and Bohuslav Stastny .
After finishing his playing career he became a coach. He worked in Pardubice , Kaufbeuren, the youth team of the Czech Republic, was an assistant to the head coach of the Czech team .
In the season 2016/17 was a consultant to the club Pardubice.
In 2001 he was admitted to the IIHF Hall of Fame [1] . November 4, 2008 entered the Czech Hockey Hall of Fame.
