Vesyoloye is a village in the Krasnogvardeisky district of the Belgorod region of Russia . It is the administrative center of the Veselovsky rural settlement .

Geography
The village is located in the eastern part of the Belgorod region, on a river called Sosenka (Malaya Sosna), a left tributary of the Silent Pine , 12.4 km in a straight line west of the regional center, the city of Biryucha .
Historical Review
It arose on the site of the Aspen fortress in 1637 [2] .
In the painting of the governor Buturlin to Moscow, the Bit Order said:
“... Yes, because of the Razdorny prison, ten versts behind the Sosensky raft , a standing Aspen prison was built along the wall with a measure of 72 fathoms , and a ditch was dug near the prison, the depth of the ditch was 1.5 fathoms, and the width of the ditch was 3 fathoms without a quarter, yes bast bastards with outlines are arranged near the moat; and there is no water in it; for water they go to the forest saplings from thirty to thirty (25). And in that prison there are 20 people with the zealous head of the military men of the children of the boyar and regimental Cossacks, and Pushkar from Userd ... ” [3]
In 1794, a church was built in the settlement in the name of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker [4] .
After the abolition of the Belgorod serif line in the Biryuchensky district , the Veselov patrimony of the Yusupov princes was formed - 8171 tithes . 63% of the entire peasantry were then serfs [2] .
In 1861, N.B. Yusupov already owned 13 thousand acres. Over the years, the Veselov patrimony did not decrease, but increased due to the purchase of bankrupt small landowners.
By the beginning of the 1900s - Veselaya settlement on the Malaya Pine river, to the county town of Biryucha - 18 miles; in the settlement along with the Knyazhniy farm (Nikolsky) - 399 yards, a church, 2 public buildings, 2 schools - a zemstvo and a literacy school, 34 (4 more in Knyazhnoye) windmills and 8 water mills, 2 forges, 2 wine shops, 5 fairs.
In the early 1930s, Veselaya settlement was the center of the village council in the Budennovsky (later Krasnogvardeisky) district. An Orthodox church is abolished in the settlement [4] .
In the 1970s, a national collective farm museum appeared in the House of Culture of the village of Vesyoloy. Most of his documents and exhibits told about the history of the local collective farm named after Ilyich and about the events of the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 [3] .
On August 29, 2008, the Orthodox Church was resumed [4] .
Population
By the beginning of the 1900s, the settlement had 3335 inhabitants (1713 males and 1622 females).
In 1932 - 3,720 inhabitants.
In 1979, 2839 people lived in the village of Vesyolom, in 1989 - 2590 (1198 men and 1392 women).
By the beginning of 1998, there were 2583 residents and 932 households in the Vesyoloy Krasnogvardeisky district [3] .

Economics
The local collective farm named after Ilyich (in 1992 - 1909 collective farmers) was engaged in crop production, specialized in the production of pork [3] .
Interesting Facts
At the end of February 1943, the 1st Czechoslovak battalion created in the USSR joined the Voronezh Front in the Belgorod region; On March 8, the battalion received a baptism of fire near the village of Sokolova near Kharkov . After these battles, the Czechoslovak battalion was placed on vacation in the village of Veselom. Here, on April 29, the soldiers of the internationalists were visited by the commander of the Voronezh Front, Army General N.F. Vatutin. and a member of the Military Council of the Front, Lieutenant General Khrushchev N.S. The battalion commander, later President of Czechoslovakia Ludwik Svoboda, spoke about these events in his book “From Buzuluk to Prague” [3] .
