Steelfactory is the sixteenth studio album by UDO , released on August 31, 2018 by AFM Records . This is the first album with Udo Dirkschneider's son Sven Dirkschneider as a drummer for the band. The first single “Rising High” was available on streaming services on June 15, 2018 [2] . A video clip [3] was released for the song “One Heart One Soul”, and the video with the lyrics was released on “Make the Move” [4] . Steelfactory - the last album, recorded by bassist Fitty Wynhold ; in September 2018, he announced his retirement from the group [5] .

About the album
UDO began writing an album in March 2018 after performances in North America. The music was composed by all members of the bands, unlike the Steelhammer and Decadent albums, which were mostly composed by Udo and Fitty Wynhold. Dirkschneider says that there was no definite goal in relation to the sound he wanted on the album. “We are just starting to work on a new album and see what comes out. Sometimes it's a little more aggressive, sometimes it's a little more melodious; sometimes you add keyboards, no difference. This time, I think, on the whole album - this is a great combination of songs. We have very fast songs, high-temp songs, mid-temp songs, ballads, everything. ”He says that the album was influenced by Accept [6] .
Udo Dirkschneider says that the Steelfactory musical direction was influenced by touring when the band performed under the name Dirkschneider from 2015 to 2018, during which she played only Accept songs, “this is definitely an influence, as well as the feeling when you start writing songs. But I have no problem with that. [Laughs] [7] "
