Biography

In 1965 he graduated from the Odessa Special Music School named after P. S. Stolyarsky in piano, and in 1971 he graduated from the VGIK directing department (workshop of Mikhail Romm ). [four]

Since 1971, he was a full-time film director at the Odessa Film Studio . Since 1993, for seven years he has not made a single film. Alexander Ilyich told about this in an interview: “ I did not want to leave, they are not looking for good from good. They treat me very well in Odessa. Well, the movie wasn’t made, so I still found something to do: either “Humorina”, then the organization of the show, or the newspaper “Telenedelya”, shot ads, and not cheap, but expensive, I had something to live on ... And then I took the tickets and left to Moscow, where I have been called for a long time. If I were twenty-five years old, I could afford the luxury of waiting for years when I can shoot again, and so ... Thanks to Odessa patriotism, I threw seven years out of my creative life. ". [five]

In 1993-1999, Alexander Pavlovsky was the artistic director of the movie studio "Arcadia", the main director of the municipal television channel of the city of Odessa, in 1997-1999 - the chief director of the Odessa show-carnival "Yumorina". [2] Since 2000 [6] Alexander Pavlovsky lived in Moscow , [4] where, as a director, he worked at various studios. [2]

His most famous paintings are “The Trust That Burst ”, “The Green Van ”, “The Bright Person ”, “And the hell with us”, “ Baby by November ”. Alexander Pavlovsky discovered Larisa Udovichenko and Vladimir Menshov for domestic cinema, having first shot them in his film “ Happy Kukushkin ”, [7] also opened for the Russian audience Natalia Oreiro as a serious dramatic actress, [8] however, he considered Nikolai among his favorite actors Karachentsov , Regimantas Adomaitis and Alexander Demyanenko . Having received a new script, he first looked to see if there was work for them, and only then he thought which of the actors could be invited to the remaining roles. [9] In the 2000s, the director began to work mainly on multi-series television projects: “ Attorney ”, “ In the Tango Rhythm ”, “ Indigo Summer ”, “Loop”, “Zemsky Doctor. Continuation "and others. In 2012, Alexander Pavlovsky shot the series “Lyudmila”, dedicated to the legendary domestic artist Lyudmila Zykina . [10] Since 2016, he shot short films for the children's comedy film magazine " Jumble ". [2]

Died March 16, 2018 from myocardial infarction [11] . He was buried in the columbarium of the Vagankovsky cemetery .
