Vasily Mikail Kakabadze ( Georgian ვასილ მიხეილის ძე კაკაბაძე , October 7, 1888, Khoni , Georgia - March 10, 1968, Tbilisi) - Georgian Soviet scientist-chemist, doctor of sciences, professor. Honored Scientist of the Georgian SSR.

Biography
He received his primary education in Khoni, then continued his studies at a technical college in Rostov, from 1909 to 1916 he was a student at the Kharkov Institute of Technology . During this period, he actively participated in the student movement, collaborated with the Georgian press.
After graduation, he worked on the construction of military roads in the Erzurum region.
In 1918 he participated in the creation of Tbilisi University . For 15 years he was dean of the Faculty of Chemical Engineering.
The scientific heritage includes more than 250 works. Kakabadze was an active promoter of technical knowledge in Georgia. In particular, with the active participation of the scientist, the first Georgian technical journal was organized. He was the chairman of the Georgian Technical Terminology Commission, and later - a permanent member of all industry and other technical terminology commissions.
He was buried in the Didube pantheon .
