Kotik, Valentina Petrovna

Valentina Petrovna Kotik ( Ukrainian: Valentina Petrivna Kotik ; born January 8, 1978 , White Well , USSR ) is a Ukrainian soccer player and football coach, best known for her performances in Kharkiv Zhytlostroy-1 and the Ukrainian women's team . Master of Sports of Ukraine [1] .

Biography

Valentina Kotik was born in the village of White Well, Volchansky district, Kharkov region. She lived in the Poltava region , was engaged in athletics . At the age of 16 she moved to train at a sports school in Zaporozhye , and three years later she began to play football. She defended the colors of the Iskra football club (later the club was renamed Graphite).

After the Zaporizhzhya team was disbanded and the injury healed for a long time, Kotik went to Russia , where she accepted the offer of Shakhty Don-Tex . Two years later, she joined the Russian champion Ryazan-TNK , who played in the Champions League . After two seasons, Kotik, together with the team having won nothing serious, moved to Nadezhda Noginsk , which she later left for performances in Moscow Spartak , and then returned. Since 2007, she was involved in the games of the youth national team of Ukraine on football , took part in the final part of the European Championship 2009 . From 2008 to 2010, she played at the Izmailovo ShVSM , and subsequently at the Zorkiy and Mordovochka clubs.

In 2013, Kotik returned to Ukraine, where she continued her performances in the Zhilstroy-1 JFK , with whom she became the champion of Ukraine three times in a row. At the end of the 2015 season, she completed active performances, in February 2016 she received a category “C” coaching license [2] , and in October - a category “B” [3] . She was part of the coaching staff of ZhFK Zhilstroy-1. In the Champions League 2016/17, she served as the head coach of the club, except for her none of the Kharkov team coaches had a valid coaching license, which was the UEFA requirement [4] .

In December 2017, she became the head coach of FC Zhilstroy-1 [5] , in the same year she was recognized as the best coach of Ukraine [6] in the annual voting according to the online edition of Women's Football of Ukraine.

Under the leadership of Valentina Kotik, the club became the champion of Ukraine and won the cup, thus making a gold double . In the same year, the club overcame the Champions League group stage, but lost in the 1/16 finals to the Swedish athletes from Linkoping [7] .
