Ilyinsky volost is an administrative-territorial unit within the Rostov district of the Yaroslavl province of the Russian Empire . The administrative center is the village of Ilyinskoye-Khovanskoye .
Geography
In 1885, the Ilyinsky volost was the border volost of the Rostov district. In the north, it bordered on the Ivashevsky volost, in the west on the Shchadnevsky , in the south on the Gorsky, in the east on the Yuryevsky district of the Vladimir province , from which it was separated by the Nerl River .
The area of Ilyinsky volost consisted of 5633 acres . Allotment of land - 4846 dessiatins., And each spiritual allotment individually was equal to 3 tithes, of which 1.108 should have been deducted for arable land.
The volost soil is sandy, clayey, partly marshy. There were very few forests in the volost, only 257 dess., Of which only 30 dess. belonged to the peasants, and the remaining 227 to various owners.
History
In 1885, there was only one rural society in Ilyinsky volost - Ilyinsky, in which there were 1609 revision souls. According to family lists: 1618 souls are male, 2354 are female, and a total of 3972 people live in 605 yards located in 17 villages of the volost.

In December 1923, during the consolidation of volosts, the villages of Ilyinsky, Garskaya, Ivashevskaya, parts of the Shchadnevskaya and Shchenikovskaya volosts of the Rostov district were included in the Ilyinsky volost.
In 1929, the Ilyinsky volost was abolished, its territories became part of the newly formed Ilyinsky district .
