The track reached No. 6 on the Hot Country Songs chart and No. 55 on the Billboard magazine's Hot 100 [4] [5] . In 1981, the song was awarded the Grammy Award in the nomination " Best Country Performance by a Duet or a Group with Vocal " [6] .

History

Roy Orbison met Emmylah Harris and her husband Brian Ahern , who ended up producing the song a couple of years earlier when he attended a song party at their home in Los Angeles [7] . The ballad “That Lovin 'You Feelin' Again” was written for the film Roadie with Meath Lowe in the title role (Orbison himself has a cameo in this tape) [7] . The singer co-wrote the composition with a member of his accompanying group, Chris Price [8] .

Although the picture failed in distribution, thanks to this song Orbison in 1980 for the first time in 13 years hit the charts of Billboard magazine [7] . This joint recording with Harris updated the singer’s fading career, but turned out to be his last lifetime hit. [9] Also, “That Lovin 'You Feelin' Again” brought him the first ever Grammy Award in the nomination “ Best Country Performance by a Duet or a Group with Vocal ” [7] .
