Biography
Erhard Kroeger was born on March 24, 1905 in Riga . After graduation, he studied law at the universities of Tübingen , Tartu and Königsberg . Received a doctorate in law. From 1923 to 1935 he was a member of the Baltic corporation Livonia-Dorpat . In 1938 he moved to Berlin , where on October 23 of the same year he was admitted to the SS and began working at Volkswagen Mittelshtell . June 7, 1940 became a deputy of the Reichstag from Gau Warteland . In this post, he contributed to the resettlement of 70,000 Baltic Germans in Wartegau. From June to November 1941 he headed the Einsatzkommand 6 [2] . In this post, he led the killing of 100 Jews in Dobromil , which he personally attended [3] . In 1943 he was enrolled in the SS division of Hohenstaufen . In 1944, Gottlob Berger appointed him a liaison officer between the SS and Andrei Vlasov .
After the war
After the war he lived under a false name in Germany, Switzerland and in Bologna . On January 10, 1962, the Wuppertal court issued a warrant for his arrest on charges of involvement in the massacres in Ukraine . December 31, 1965 he was arrested in Zyunikon (Switzerland) and extradited to Germany . From May 17, 1966 to October 5, 1967 was in pre-trial detention [4] . On July 31, 1969, the Tübingen court sentenced him to 3 years and four months in prison [2] .
