Didimotihon ( Greek Δήμος Διδυυοοεεχχου ) is a community (dim) in northeastern Greece . Included in the peripheral unit Evros in the periphery of East Macedonia and Thrace . The population is 19,493 residents at the 2011 census [2] . The area is 565,372 square kilometers [1] . The density of 34.48 people per square kilometer [2] . The administrative center of the community is Didimotihon [2] . At the local elections of 2014, Paraskevas Patsouridis ( Παρασκευάς Πατσουρίδης ) was elected as a diarch .

The Didimotihon community was created in 1924 ( ΦΕΚ 194Α ), the Didimotihon community - in 1924 ( ΦΕΚ 234Α ). In 2010 ( ΦΕΚ 87Α ), under the Kallikratis program , the abolished Metaxades community [3] was joined to the Didimotihon community.
