Ludwig zu Hohenlohe-Langenburg ( Ludwig, Fürst zu Hohenlohe-Langenburg ; October 20, 1696 - January 16, 1765 ) - German aristocrat, 4th Earl of Hohenlohe-Langenburg (1715-1764), and then the 1st Prince Hohenloe-Langenburg (1764-1765).

Biography
Ludwig was born on October 20, 1696 in Langenburg . The sixth child and the third son of Albrecht Wolfgang Hohenlohe-Langenburg (1659-1715) and his wife, Sofia Amalia Nassau-Saarbrücken (1666-1736). At this time the county was ruled by his grandfather, Heinrich Friedrich Hohenlohe-Langenburg (1625-1699). In 1699, after the death of Heinrich Friedrich, Albrecht Wolfgang (father of Ludwig) became a new earl.
On April 17, 1715, after the death of his father Albrecht Wolfgang, the 18-year-old Ludwig inherited the title of Count Hohenlohe-Langenburg, as his older brothers died during his father's lifetime.
At the age of 26, Ludwig Hohenlohe-Langenburg married his 15-year-old cousin Eleonora of Nassau-Saarbrücken (July 1, 1707 - October 15, 1769) [1] , the fifth daughter of Count Ludwig Krato of Nassau-Saarbrücken (1663-1717), and Countess Philippine Genett. -Langenburg (1679-1751). Their wedding took place on January 23, 1723 in the Lorenzen castle. The couple had thirteen children:

On January 7, 1764, [1] Count Ludwig Hohenlohe-Langenburg received the title of an imperial prince from the emperor of the Holy Roman Empire, Franz I, Stephen .
On January 16, 1765, the 68-year-old Ludwig Hohenlohe-Langenburg died in Langenburg [1] . He was buried there.
