Balbyrauyn (field)

Balbyrauyn is an iron ore deposit in Kazakhstan . It is located on the territory of the Karaganda region , 5 km south of the village of Karsakpay . Geological exploration under the leadership of K. Satpayev was carried out in 1931-1949. Located in the central part of the Karsakpay synclinorium . About 30 ore bodies with a capacity of several meters to 5 km. The total reserves are 125.5 million tons. The iron content reaches 40%. Development is possible in an open way.
