Zenkovs House of Architects is a building in Alma-Ata , in which the famous architects of the city of Verny Pavel Matveevich Zenkov and his son Andrei Pavlovich lived.

History
The building was built at the end of the 19th century and belonged to the merchant I.D. Lutmanov. [1] In October 1888, the mayor of Verny, Pavel Matveechich Zenkov , acquired the house, as the previous family house was destroyed by an earthquake in 1887 .
In 1915, Pavel Zenkov died, and in 1916, Andrei Pavlovich was mobilized to the front. Only Evdokia Zenkova, the wife of Pavel Matveevich and the mother of Andrei Zenkov, remained in the house. She in 1917 sells a plot with a house to a certain Bukhara Uzbek. [2]
Currently, the building houses the City Ambulance Station.
Architecture
The structure is a one-story wooden log cabin built on a stone foundation. The windows of the house are framed by carved wooden platbands. The walls are plastered and whitewashed. The planning composition of the building is a corridor. [3]
The building is an example of ordinary residential development of the city of Verny end of the XIX century. [one]
Monument Status
On April 4, 1979, the Decision of the Executive Committee of the Alma-Ata City Council of People’s Deputies No. 139 “On the approval of the list of historical and cultural monuments of the city of Alma-Ata” was adopted, in which the house of the Zenkov architects was indicated. [4] The decision provided for the issuance of a security obligation and the development of projects for the restoration of monuments.
January 26, 1982 the building was included in the list of monuments of history and culture of republican significance of the Kazakh SSR. [5]
