Adolf Ott ( German: Adolf Ott ; December 29, 1904 , Waidhaus , German Empire - after 1958 ) - German officer, SS Obersturmbannführer , war criminal, commander of the Sonderkommando 7b, who carried out massacres in the RSFSR and the BSSR .

Biography
Adolf Ott was born on December 29, 1904. From 1910 to 1922 he attended school in Lindau . On September 1, 1922, he joined the NSDAP (party ticket No. 2433), and in 1931 he joined the SS (No. 13,294). After 1933, Ott was on the German Labor Front in Lindau. Since 1935 he served in the SD in Württemberg . In February 1942 he led the Einsatzkommand 7b. Within 11 months, he organized from 80 to 100 massacres in the Bryansk region . After the war, he appeared before the American military tribunal in Nuremberg . At the trial, he justified the massacres, stating that the victims were partisans and saboteurs. Answering Judge Masmanno’s question about what happened to Jewish prisoners, Ott replied: “In accordance with the order of the Führer, they were shot.” On April 10, 1948, he was sentenced to death by hanging. In 1951, he was pardoned by the American Commissioner in Germany, John McCloy . May 9, 1958 was released from Landsberg prison [2] [3] [4] .
