Biography

Konstantin Nizheradze was born on September 26, 1869. By religion he was Orthodox . He graduated from the Tiflis Cadet Corps . Then, on September 18, 1888 he entered the service of the Russian Imperial Army . He received his military education at the 3rd Military Alexander School , from which he was graduated from the 153rd Baku Infantry Regiment . On August 10, 1889 he received seniority with the rank of second lieutenant , on August 10, 1893 - with the rank of lieutenant , May 6, 1900 - with the rank of headquarters captain , and on August 10, 1901 - with the rank of captain [1] .

He took part in the Russian-Japanese war . For some time he was a company commander in the 138th Infantry Bolkhovsky Regiment . During the war he was wounded. After its completion, he was transferred to the service in the 153rd Baku Infantry Regiment , and then in the 155th Cuban Infantry Regiment . In 1907, "for distinction," he was promoted to lieutenant colonel with seniority on November 26, 1907, and on September 6, 1911, he received seniority with the rank of colonel . As of March 1, 1914, he served in the 154th Derbent Infantry Regiment [1] .

He participated in the First World War. From February 27, 1915 to August 24, 1916 he was the commander of the 154th Infantry Regiment of Derbent. July 16, 1916 "for the difference in affairs" was promoted to major general with seniority on February 1, 1916. From August 24, 1916 to 1917, he held the position of brigade commander in the 66th Infantry Division [1] .
