Zoltan Bathory ( born Zoltan Bathory ; born May 15, 1978 , Szentendre , Hungary ) is an American musician. He is the founder, rhythm guitarist and one of the main songwriters of the metal band Five Finger Death Punch , in which he recorded 7 studio albums. In 2010, he received the Metal Hammer Golden God Award in the Best Shredder nomination.

Career
Zoltan Bathory joined UPO in 2004, replacing Ben Shirley (on bass). He left the band in 2005, switching to Five Finger Death Punch , in which he took the place of guitarist. As part of the team in 2006, he recorded his debut album. Shortly after the recording was completed, 5FDP was signed by The Firm , which released their first album, The Way of the Fist, on July 31, 2007. Their next album, War Is The Answer, was released on September 22, 2009 via Prospect Park Records. War Is The Answer stayed on the Billboard Top 100 for 92 weeks, breaking up in excess of 1,000,000 copies.
Charity
Five Finger Death Punch played many military concerts, visited bases around the world and organized a fundraising campaign for veterans suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury [2] .
In 2014, the group launched a campaign that raised more than $ 225,000. The band used their recent music video for their latest single, “Wrong Side of Heaven”, to focus on the theme and launched 5fdp4Vets.com . They also began selling a custom t-shirt that was developed by Bathory at Indiegogo. The collected funds were sent to organizations that increase awareness of PTSD [3] .
Bathory was elected Chairman of the Development Division of the nonprofit organization, The Home Deployment Project, in Las Vegas, helping veterans with PTSD, head injury and chronic homelessness [3]
Bathory has long supported law enforcement [4] and provided first aid [5] . In 2017, Five Finger Death Punch donated $ 58,000 to the Badge of Honor Memorial Fund [6] , an organization recognized by the Department of Justice that can assist the departments and families of dead police officers by identifying all federal and state benefits that are available to them.
In 2018, Bathory led another campaign in which his group, Five Finger Death Punch, donated [7] part of their ticket sales ($ 95,000) to COPS (Caring for Surviving Police Officers), an organization that supports families of officers who died in execution job responsibilities, offering fellowships, counseling services and peer support.
Personal life
Zoltan is a member of Gracie Humait's Jiu-Jitsu team, led by Professor Amilkar Chipili and Black Belt Master Royler Gracie. Zoltan won the silver medal in Abu Dhabi at the Jiu-Jitsu World Trials, and also took part in the North American Grappling Championship , and also took 3rd place at the 2012 World Cup in his division. He is one of the few civilians certified by the U.S. Army as a melee instructor.
