Biography
Robert More was born December 24, 1909. He attended Westend High School in Frankfurt am Main , then Goethe Gymnasium in Giessen , then Higher School of Agriculture in Weilburg [1] . He studied law at the universities of Giessen , Marburg and Geneva . Legal internship took place in the highest land court in Kassel [1] . During the three-year probationary period, he worked in the Weilburg District Court, the Weilburg City Court, the Limburg Land Court and the Frankfurt High Land Court [1] . He passed the legal exam in the Düsseldorf High Land Court [1] . In 1937 he worked in the Imperial Ministry of the Interior [1] .
March 1, 1933 became a member of the SS , two months later joined the NSDAP [2] . After passing the state exam in September 1938, he joined the Gestapo , then - at the General Directorate of Imperial Security (RSHA) in Berlin . In July 1940 he became a government adviser and at the beginning of 1941 he headed the recruitment department at the RSHA. Thus, he was responsible for all personnel issues relating to Einsatzgrupps in the USSR . From November 1941 to September 1942 he headed Einsatzkommando 6 as part of Einsatzgruppe C [3] , which destroyed 2000 people in Ukraine . Since the spring of 1942, he used gas vagenes [3] . In October 1942 he became head of the Gestapo in Darmstadt [4] . In this post he directed the deportation of Jews to death camps [1] . Since February 1944 he was the head of the Magdeburg Gestapo. April 20, 1944 received the title of SS Obersturmbannfuhrer.
After the war
At the end of the war, he was hiding under a false name in Westphalia , until he was arrested by the Americans in June 1945. At the end of 1946 he escaped from an American camp. May 21, 1947 was again arrested in Dusseldorf, where he was hiding under the name of Gerhard Linguschus , but was soon able to escape again [1] . He lived under the name Buyara with his family in Bergisches Land and held a managerial position in one of the firms in Remscheid . In November 1959 he was identified and arrested in the Solingen area. The subject of the trial was the executions and gas poisoning of thousands of Jews, communists and civilians, including 800 patients from a psychiatric clinic in Dnepropetrovsk [5] . On December 13, 1967, the Wuppertal Regional Court sentenced More to 8 years in prison. [3]
