Church of St. John (Hennen)

The first building of the temple on the site of the future Church of St. John in the Hennen district of Iserlohn was built around 1200 in the Romanesque style : it was a small hall with a choir , which had the shape of a cross. The western tower, which adjoins the building today, was erected later. The masonry of the main building was made of two types of sandstone ; The nave of the church is divided into two parts, the grass , and the transept has a vaulted ceiling. The seven-part altar contains three windows and is connected to the transept by a narrow cylindrical vault.
