Arnaud Roger I ( fr. Arnau Roger I de Pallars Sobirà ; ca. 1236-1288 ) was a count of Upper Palyars (Palyars Sobir ) from 1256 or 1257.

Son Roger III de Commenge-Cuseran and his second wife Sibylla de Berg. Upper Palyars rules with his brother Raymond Roger I (d. 1295).
King Jaime I the Conqueror in 1267 was appointed guardian of Count Ermengol X Urhelsky (1260-1314) and his brother, Viscount Alvar II Azhersky.
Took part in noble uprisings against Jaime I the Conqueror and Pedro I in 1275 and 1280.
Later he became a loyal ally of the King of Aragon: he took part in an expedition to Tunisia (1282), in the Sicilian War (1282-1289), in the defense of Empordà from the French (1285).
First wife - Sancha de Villamour. The second wife (1281/1282) - Lascara de Ventimiglia (c. 1264–1314), daughter of Count Guillaume Pedro de Ventimiglia and the Byzantine princess Eudoxia Lascaris . From her three daughters:
- Sybil (1282-1330), Countess Palyars Sobira
- Beatrice (died after 1330), Viscountess de Villamour
- Violanta (died after 1311).
Arnaud Roger I died between October 1, 1288 and February 1289. His widow had to fight with the Counts of Kommenzha, who attempted to seize Pallars Sobir after the death of Raymond Roger I, brother of Arnaud Roget I (1295). But she managed to establish her eldest daughter Sibylla on the throne. In 1307, the Aragonese King Jaime II forced Lascara de Ventimiglia (who lived in Barcelona since 1304) to go to a monastery, accusing her of having a love affair with Admiral Bernat de Sarrià.
