Bulbul [2] ( azerb. Bülbülə ) or Bulbul [3] is a lake in Azerbaijan , located on the Absheron peninsula , between the villages of Bakikhanov and Amirjan at an altitude of 8 m above sea level [1] .

By genesis, Bulbul Lake belongs to the tectonic group [1] . The concentration of total nitrogen in the bottom sediments of the lake averages 0.18 mg / 100 g [4] .
The mirror area of the lake is 0.7 km², the maximum width is 360 m, the maximum depth is 1.5 m, the average depth is 1.1 m, the coastline is 6 km [3] .
In the 80s. for oil pollution of the Bulbul lake, the head of the linear production station of the Ordzhonikidze district of the Absheron RNU UZMN was brought to administrative responsibility. It was found that for the oil trap, an earthen barn with a connection to the lake was used as a basin for the oil-water mixture [5] .
