Biography
Son of a Pole and a Frenchwoman. He spent his childhood in Volhynia . During the Second World War he lived in Villars de Lance ( France ). Studied at the University of Lille. Supporter of communist ideology.
He was engaged in translations of Polish poetry and literature into French and French into Polish . Among others, he translated the works of R. Vayan , P. Gamarr , G. Zhelin , E. Ionesco , J. Cabanis , R. Keno , A. Malro , E. Manet , Musset , P. Odiberti , A. Style , T. Tzar and other, Polish authors E. Andrzejewski , V. Gombrowicz , J. Ivashkevich , L. Kruchkovsky , S. Mrozhek , T. Ruzhevich and others.
In 1950, he returned to Poland, where he first worked at the Opole Theater, then at the Czytelnik Publishing House in Warsaw, and since 1954 in the editorial board of the literary magazine Twórczość . He was its editor in chief.
In 1968 he left the ranks of the PUWP .
He was buried in Warsaw at the Military Ponzki cemetery.
