Val d'Ebron ( Cat. Vall d'Hebron ) - Barcelona Metro interchange station located on lines 3 and 5. The opening of station 3 took place on November 6, 1985 as part of the Lesseps - Monbau section, the opening of the platform for line 5 together with a change to line 3 was held on July 30, 2010 as part of the extension of line 5 from the Orta station. On line 5, the station is the terminal. Line 3
The line 3 platform is located under Val d'Ebron Avenue ( Cat. Passeig de la Vall d'Hebron ) and Ronda de Dalt Avenue ( Cat. Ronda de Dalt ), between Jorda Avenue ( Cat. Avinguda del Jordà ) and Cami Street de la Granja ( Cat. Camí de la Granja ). It has two tracks and two side platforms 95 meters long each.
Line 5
The line 5 platform is located at a depth of 41.5 meters between the Avenue of Jorda and Rue Col-i-Alentorn ( Cat. Carrer de Coll i Alentorn ). The station has a single central island platform, which is served by two routes. [3] [4]
Platform Design
Architects Manel Sanchez, who previously designed the Valdaura metro station on line 3, and Dolors Piulaks, were responsible for the design of the platform. Also, the artist Antoni Abat took part in the design of the station. [four]
Facts
Val d'Ebron is one of three interchanges between lines 3 and 5 of the station, (the other two are Diagonal and Sants-Estacio ). However, there is no CER between the two lines.
Behind the station there is a depot of the same name, which fully serves line 3 and half - line 5 (the rest half is served by the Can-Busheres depot, located south of the station of the same name).
