History
After King Charles III expelled the Jesuits from Spain at the end of the 18th century, Felipe M. de Roldan acquired these lands.
In 1866, a railway station was built here, and the village began to grow. Since the first immigrants arrived here from Switzerland, the station and village were originally named Bernstadt, but were later renamed Roldan.
In 1987, Roldan received city status.
