Jacob Osipovich Gavronsky ( May 20, 1878 - September 24, 1948 ) was a Russian physician and medical scientist, an organic chemist.
Esser, publicist, press attaché of the Russian Embassy ( Provisional Government ) in the UK (1917), lived in London .
He translated scientific monographs on biochemistry into English.
Family
The brothers are director A. O. Gavronsky and philosopher D. O. Gavronsky . My cousin is the poet M. O. Tsetlin .
The first marriage (1908–1913) was married to the doctor Roza Isidorovna Shabad (niece of Tsemakh Shabad ), the second marriage to Mary Yevseevna Gavronskaya (née Kalmanovskaya, 1890–1955) [1] [2] [3] . He was buried at the Jewish cemetery in Golders Green .
The son is a Canadian architect and interior designer Asher Gransby (Asher Baruch Benedict Gavronsky, 1914–2009) [4] [5] . Another son Leo (1915-1942) died at the front.
