Ignat Stefanov ( Ukrainian Gnat Stefaniv , May 2, 1885 - June 21, 1949) - Ukrainian military leader. UGA training commander. Colonel of the UGA and the army of the UPR .

Biography
He received his military education at the Cesar and Royal School of Infantry Cadets in Lviv , which he graduated in 1905 and was assigned to the 10th Galicia Infantry Regiment, whose headquarters was stationed in Przemysl . [one]
During the November disruption of 1918, he headed the establishment of Ukrainian authority with the rank of centurion, [2] then the organizer and commandant of the Zolochiv district of ZUNR , from November 9, 1918 to December 10, 1918 (promoted by the UPR to the rank of colonel) he led the Initial Team of Ukrainian Troops in Lviv .
Later he joined the UNR Army : he headed the Hutsul kish of the Marine Corps , the reserve brigade of the 3rd Iron Rifle Division, the commander of the 3rd cavalry regiment in the First Winter Campaign ; in 1920 - commander of the UPR Army .
In August 1920, he moved with the group of General Anton Kravs to Czechoslovakia and in 1923 headed the consul of ZUNR in Uzhgorod .
Until 1939 he lived in the Carpathian Ukraine, then in Vienna , in the Lemkovschina and in Germany (since 1944), where he died.
Memory
Streets in the city of Zolochev and his native village Toporovtsy are named after him.
