History

The club takes part in the Lithuanian Championship, A League. The club became the champion of Lithuania 13 times. In 2005, Gintra Universitetas became the champion for the fourth time and has since won every championship [1] .

As a championship winner, the club played in the League, which since 2009 has been reorganized into the UEFA Women's Champions League. At first, the club participated only in the qualification rounds, spending three games in each season, the best result was one victory, one draw and one loss, which did not allow to go to the next round.

The club took part in the qualification round of the UEFA Women's Champions League 2010/2011 and managed to take second place in the group, winning against ZhFK Borets (Macedonia) , playing a draw with KI Klaksvik (Faroe Islands) and losing only to English Everton . The owner of all the games was Gintra (Lithuania). In the 2014/15 season, the club was the best among the clubs that took second place in their groups and advanced to the next round for the first time in ten seasons.
