Meluzin, Roman

Roman Meluzin ( Czech Roman Meluzín , born June 17, 1972 in Blansko ) is a former Czech hockey player who is forward. World Champion 1996 and 1999. At present, he is the head coach of the Comet Brno junior team.

Career

Roman Meluzin began his adult career at the Comet Brno Club, making his debut in the Czechoslovak League in the 1989/90 season. Having played for three years in Brno, he moved to Zlin , with which he reached the final of the Czech Extra League twice. After two seasons in Finland and Germany , he returned to his homeland. In the summer of 2012, he ended his career at the age of 40. After the end of his career, he coached junior teams of various ages, "Comets" [1] . Now he leads a team of players no older than 20 years old, serving in the Czech Extra-League of juniors.

From 1994 to 1999 he regularly played for the Czech national team . With the national team twice, in 1996 and 1999, he won gold medals in the world championships.

  • Bronze medalist of the European Junior Championship 1990 and the 1991 World Youth Championship
