History
In the middle of the XIX century, farmers who came from the UK, Germany and the USA began to acquire land in these places. Among them was Guillermo Kemmis, who created the Las Rosas farm. In 1874, the brothers Alfredo and Enrique Dickinson arrived, who created the Las Lomas farm.
in 1887, it was decided to build a railway through these places. Understanding how this will change the region, both Kemmis and Dickinson submitted to the authorities plans to establish a settlement on their lands. In early 1889, a choice was made in favor of the Kemmis project, which caused strong dissatisfaction with the Dickinsons. Governor Juan Manuel Cafferatta managed to combine the two plans into a single project, which was adopted in 1892.
In 1967, Las Rosas received the status of a city.
