The company was established in 2004 by spin-off from Tverenergo OJSC, registered in 2005, has the status of a wholesale market entity ^[1] .

It was created as a result of the reorganization of Tverenergo OJSC in the form of spin-off and was registered as a legal entity on January 11, 2005 .

226,142,000 ordinary shares are owned by RAO UES, which is 65.33% of ordinary shares or 49% of the total authorized capital (including preferred shares) ^[5] , the shares are in trust with TGK-2 ^[6] .

RAO UES announced the sale of its stake in an auction to be held on September 19, 2007 ^[5] .
