Nikiforov Vladimir Valentinovich (born July 20, 1964 ) is a Ukrainian biologist, ecologist, and biotechnologist.

Education

In 1987 he graduated from Kharkiv State University named after A.M. Gorky (Department of Botany, Faculty of Biology). In 1992 he graduated from the graduate school of the Institute of Botany. N.G. Cold National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine (spore plants department).

Professional Activities

He is the author of educational and methodological complexes for 12 disciplines (currently teaching such courses: “General Biotechnology”, “Fundamentals of Pharmacognosy” and “Ecological Aquaculture”), as well as the author of 37 guidelines for practical and laboratory studies, term papers and diploma works in specialties: "ecology and environmental protection", "biotechnology" and "human health". Head of the working group of the master's program "Environmental Biotechnology and Bioenergy". The guarantor of the program of the Doctor of Philosophy in Ecology, in the framework of which he gives lectures on "Autecology, Synecology and Environmental Protection", "Structural and Functional Organization of Overorganismal Systems" and "Genetic, Species and Ecosystem Biodiversity". Chairman of the Scientific and Technical Council, Deputy Chairman of the Scientific Council of KrNU, member of the Scientific Council of the Faculty of Natural Sciences, member of specialized (dissertation) scientific councils D 08.051.04 in the specialty 03.00.16 - ecology and K 45.052.05 in the specialty 21.06.01 - environmental safety . Research Interests

Research interests include the following research areas:

• development of environmental and bioenergy technologies;
• bioassay , bioindication and biomonitoring;
• study of the structural and functional organization of natural and anthropogenic aquatic ecosystems;
• human ecology
• inventory and conservation of species and ecosystem biodiversity.

Scientific Achievements

In 1994, he defended his thesis on the specialty 03.00.05 - botany on the topic "Golden Algae ( Chrysophyta ) of the Crimean Mountains and Ukrainian Carpathians" (diploma of KN No. 006250), and in 2010 - a doctorate in 03.00.16 - ecology on topic “Structural organization of ecosystems and biohydrocenoses of the Middle Dnieper: restoration, protection and rational use” (diploma DD No. 009128). Scientific supervisor of applied research on the topic “Ecological biotechnology of methane production from blue-green algae” (No. ГР 0115U002528, 2015—2016). The performer of basic research “Physico-chemical biology of methanogenesis of hydrobionts on the example of blue-green algae” (No. ГР 0108U002170, 2008—2010) and the Ukrainian-Austrian bilateral project “Methods for processing cyanic biomass causing flowering ponds”. Member of the state program of the Ministry of Education and Science of Slovakia "National Scholarships Program of the Slovak Republic for foreign university teachers and researchers" (2010, 2013). Member of the international project of the European Union "Project - Developing the knowledge and skills of teaching staff and scientific researchers and PhD students at Matej Bel University in Banska Bystrica" ​​(ITMS code: 26110230019, module 9 - Specialized education in natural sciences, 2012). Member of KA1 - Learning Mobility of Individuals - Staff mobility for teaching and training activities between program and partner countries (2019). He is the author of 151 scientific publications ^[3] , including 75 articles in 25 specialized scientific journals, including those indexed in the Web of Science ^[4] , Scopus ^[5] and the international science-based databases ^[6] and other international scientometric databases, as well as five scientific monographs and five title documents on intellectual property.
