Geography

The village is located in the middle of the Belgorod region, at the confluence of the Linden Donets in Seversky Donets , 3.5 km north of the city of Belgorod , 1.7 km north of the Belgorod bypass road.

History

Name Origin

It arose at the beginning of the XVII century - the village of Belomestnoy was mentioned in documents of 1626: “It was founded by white-local Cossacks , which is why it got such a name” [2] .

Historical Review

The village of Belomestnoye was first mentioned in documents of 1626 [3] .

In 1883, a wooden church appeared in the village in honor of the Holy Epiphany [4] .

The census documents of 1884 contain a description of the village of Belomestny Shopinsky volost of the Belgorod district :

“The village is located under the mountain, by the river, near the railway station. Arable land starts from the estate and stretches one side for four miles, the forest - in one mansion, six and a half miles from the village; haymaking - near the estate. Of the industries, they are mainly developed: day laborers on the railway and fishing on the Donets River. There are 61 competent men, or 16.8%, ... students 1 boy. School at 4 miles. For eight years, from 1874 to 1882, they had their own school: society spent 120 rubles on it. in year. but in 1882 the school was closed due to lack of funds, since the church was being built at that time, and the society was making great sacrifices: for three years, each courtyard donated 11 kopecks of bread to the church and, in addition, it was sold by the society for a blockhouse almost the entire forest - more than 1000 rubles ” [2] .

At the beginning of the 20th century , there were 162 yards in Belomestnoye. In the encyclopedic dictionary of Brockhaus and Efron it was noted [2] :

“Belomestnoye is the station of the Kursk-Kharkov railway station, 9 miles north of Belgorod. There is significant production of chalk, lime and chalk plants. ”

The wave of revolutions of 1905-1907 did not capture Belomestnoye, but many fellow villagers were sent to the First World War .

The events of the era of 1917 and the post-revolutionary transformations did not bypass the village.

Since 1921, a village council has been operating in the village, chaired by Fotev. A committee of the poor appeared , where the activists were the Brudkovs, Androsov Stepan Ivanovich.

In 1928, the Voskhod agricultural partnership was organized in Belomestnoye, which included 5 yards in the amount of 20 souls, they cultivated an area of ​​75 hectares.

In 1929, the Krasny Boevik collective farm was formed in the village, headed by the Moscow worker Krotov.

At the same time, the church was closed and then destroyed (not earlier than 1933 [4] ), but the school that was with it continued to function, becoming a four-year-old.

Since 1933, pioneer and Komsomol organizations operated in the school. The center of ideological and educational work became a club and a reading room.

During the Great Patriotic War, almost every yard left for men to go to war. 114 White Palestinians left to lie on the battlefields. In the battles for the liberation of the village, 204 people died. These are soldiers of the 96th tank brigade named after the Chelyabinsk Komsomol, 263 of the Kirovograd mortar regiment. The secretary of the Komsomol organization Alexander Androsov was executed by the Germans for communication with the partisans. Already after the war, it became known about the feat of the fellow villager Shvoeva, Maria Alexandrovna, who saved the Russian scouts from 96 tank brigades.

In 1995, a three-story high school building was built in the village with classrooms, assembly and sports halls, a dining room, a workshop, and a garage.

In 2001, the construction of a new church began; on May 22, 2002, the opening and lighting of the church in honor of the Holy Epiphany took place. At the same time, a water deferrization station came into operation [3] .

Village Legends

The most common surnames in the village were Androsov, Zhigalov, Shvoev, Brudkov, Kuzmin. There is a legend about the appearance of the Androsova surname. About three centuries ago, a fugitive Don Cossack Andros appeared in the village. He settled on an island between the river channels of the Seversky Donets and its tributary , where the school now stands. He had 12 sons. They went from them to the Androsovs [3] .

In 1979, there were 1,409 residents in the village of Belomestnoye, and 1128 (488 men and 640 women) in ten years.
