Geography
Located 18 km southwest of Dmitrovsk and 2.5 km from the border with the Kursk region on the eastern edge of the forest tract Voskresnaya Dacha.
History
It was founded in 1919 by settlers from the village of Osmon [2] . In 1926, there were 12 yards in the village, 70 people lived (36 males and 36 females) [3] . At that time, the village was part of the Osmon village council of the Kruglinsky volost of the Dmitrovsky district of the Oryol province . Since 1928, as part of the Dmitrov district . In 1937, there were 19 yards in the village [4] .
During the Great Patriotic War, from October 1941 to August 1943, he was in the zone of Nazi occupation (the territory of Lokotsky self-government ). During 1943, active fighting was carried out in the area of the village. On February 11, 1943, the 399th Rifle Division fought here, in May – July the 120th Rifle Regiment and the 20th Separate Reconnaissance Company of the 69th Rifle Division , the 605th Rifle Regiment of the 132nd Rifle Division [5] . The remains of soldiers who died in the battles for the liberation of Novosyolok after the war were reburied in the mass grave of Osmon village [6] .
With the abolition of the Osmon village council in 1954, the village was transferred to the Malobobrovsky village council , and then (after 1975) - to the Berezovsky village council .

Attractions
A memorial sign was installed in the village in honor of the Soviet soldiers who died in the Great Patriotic War [9] .
