Club career
Born December 17, 1908 in the city of Bratislava . The pupil of youth teams of football clubs "Donaustadt" and "Ligeti" SC.
In adult football, he made his debut in 1927 with performances for the team of the Bratislava club , in which he spent two seasons.
During the years 1929-1930 defended the colors of the team of the club "Teplizer".
His game for the last team attracted the attention of representatives of the coaching staff of the club "Slavia" , to which he joined in 1931. He played for the Prague team the next five seasons of his playing career. During this time, he won the title of champion of Czechoslovakia three times with the team.
During 1937–1938, he defended the colors of the Batja club (Zlín) .
He completed a professional gaming career at the Zidenitsa club , for whose team he performed during the years 1938-1939.
National team performances
In 1932 he made his debut in official matches in the national team of Czechoslovakia . During his career in the national team, which lasted 4 years, he played 22 matches in the form of the country's main team.
As part of the team was a member of the World Cup in 1934 in Italy , where, together with the team won the "silver".
Career Coach
He began his coaching career shortly after completing his playing career, in 1941, heading up the coaching staff of the Slovak national team .
1949 became the head coach of the Czechoslovak national team , coached the national team for one year.
During the coaching career also led the team "Vitkovice", "Forvarts" (Berlin) , "Prague" Sydney and "Lokomotiv" (Košice).
The last place of coaching was the club "Sparta" (Prague) , whose head coach Stefan Chambal was from 1975 to 1976. Won the Czech Cup with the team.
Died July 18, 1990 at the age of 82.
