Guitar and prempensua duet at a wedding ceremony in Ghana
Prempensua is a large lamellafon (a musical instrument with vibrating metal plates fixed at one end) used in the musical art of the Ashanti people ( Ghana ). The word prempensua is from the Akan language , although other ethnolinguistic groups in Ghana play similar instruments.
Prempensua (along with a drum gome, xylophone and seprevo ) is a member of traditional music ensembles that play at weddings and other ceremonies [1] .
