Diamante ( Spanish: Diamante ) is a city and municipality in the department of Diamante of the province of Entre Rios ( Argentina ), the administrative center of the department.

History
In 1832, a group of Guarani Indians moved here from Uruguayan territory (from the places where Bella Union is now located), and the settlement of Punta Gorda was founded here. In 1836, the Provincial Congress formally established the village of La Dyamante here .
In 1872 a municipality was formed.
